Dada 105
is a series of 4 billboards created to mark the 105th anniversary of the publication of the first Dada Review in Zurich.
The artworks magnify flaws like tears, uneven inking and foxing in the original Dada pamphlets while the texts re-state aspects of Dada philosophy for our times.
Dadaist theory noted that it was impossible for art to submit to any form of outside control and still call itself art.
Art's inner sovereignty is the foundation of its strength and the main reason why totalitarian regimes are so afraid of it.
